This post summarizes my first experience with the development of a Kodak T-Max 400 roll film in coffee. The photo below gives an overview of the usual ingredients required for the caffenol developer.

The recipe followed was that of http://content.photojojo.com/tutorials/coffee-caffenol-film-developing/. For 500 ml of developer I used 7 teaspoons of Nescafé classic (https://www.nescafe.it/prodotti/classic.aspx) (which contains between 85 and 100 mg of caffeine per teaspoon), 5 teaspoons of sodium carbonate (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sodium_carbonate, and 1 teaspoon of vitamin C. Development time was 14 min at 23 deg Celsius.
Result was a very dark and thin, low contrast, film, but with with usable images.
The developer had probably too high level of alkali. Next time I’ll try 20 min with 4 level teaspoons of sodium carbonate. Stay tuned. Result is posed here.
